Our Purpose
Reach Further, Stay Longer
As the world’s largest island, Australia has some of the most spectacular, ancient, and remote cruising destinations on earth. But many locations, such as the spectacular Kimberley region of North Western Australia, are too remote for most modern motor yachts to visit due to their high fuel consumption and limited refuelling areas. They simply have not been designed for long range cruising in mind.
So, the Longreach family of power catamarans was developed to provide a purpose-built solution of high-performance motor yachts to explore or even circumnavigate Australia and beyond, in apartment comfort and modern style. We aim to reach those far-flung destinations and provide all the creature comforts to stay away longer.

A collaboration of experience
Longreach is a collaboration between Power Play catamarans and Multihull Central, bringing together decades of experience in the manufacture and delivery of power catamarans.
With over 40 years of boat building experience, Australian James Dewing, Director of Power Play has specialised in building power catamarans for 20 years with recent builds up to 67 feet long that have been delivered to the Australia, Europe, USA, New Zealand and including some charter boats operating in Australia today. Power Play’s build facility is located in Thailand’s Pattaya, a hub of ship yards and boat building talent in Thailand.
Multihull Central specialise in the supply and support of high-performance cruising catamarans in Australasian with brands such as Seawind and Outremer sailing catamarans. Multihull Central’s Andrew McLeod and Brent Vaughan have been involved with the sales and delivery of dozens of new power catamarans into the Australian and New Zealand regions and have seen first hand the benefits that purpose built power catamarans can provide, but also the limitations of non-displacement hulls. Multihull Central has offices in Sydney and Brisbane Australia and Opua and Nelson, New Zealand with service personnel and charter boat operations located at their marina head quarters in Sydney Harbour.
